Tamiz Shahar JSC announced that its Baku Waste-To-Energy facility has successfully passed its final hot commissioning tests in May of 2015. The completion of these tests means that the Baku WTE has now begun normal operations. The Baku WTE facility has the capacity to incinerate 500,000 tonnes of municipal waste and generate 230,000 MWh of electricity per year.
The Bakue WTE facility was designed and built by CNIM of France, who will also operate the facility for Tamiz Shahar. The WTE facility has the capacity to incinerate 500,000 tonnes of municipal waste and generate 230,000 MWh of electricity per year. See Project details>>
