Construction begins on Dublin WTE

Construction mobilization works on the Dublin Waste to Energy Project have commenced. Construction and commissioning is expected to take approximately three years. This project is a 600,000 tonne per annum municipal waste incinerator being jointly developed by Dublin City Council and Dublin Waste to Energy Limited, a consortium consisting of Covanta Energy Corporation and DONG Energy Generation. The consortium is responsible under the (DBOF) contract to develop the facility including securing statutory consents, design, finance, construction and operation for 25 years; and both Dublin City Council and Dublin Waste to Energy Limited will supply waste to the facility when completed. Durango Browne is providing commercial advisory services to Dublin City Council related to its administration of the contract with Dublin Waste to Energy Limited and related matters.
