This 128 kilometre motorway between the Polish cities of Wroclaw and Gliwice was a landmark contract for the Polish Ministry of Infrastructure, since it was the first major soft loan funded construction project developed in Poland since the commencement of its economic transition.
Durango Browne provided the project manager for the international advisory team to the main designer Transprojekt Krakow. The advisory team was responsible for the adjustment of Polish construction specifications to suit international competitive unit price tendering. The project is in operation.
