The City of Arad, Romania received funding from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to modernise 18 kilometres of tram line. IDOM Ingenieria was appointed to assist in procuring a contractor for this project.
Durango Browne assisted IDOM in preparing design-build specifications for the tramway catenary and power supply elements, and blending these design-build elements into the traditional construction contract for tramway modernization. The project is in successful operation.
