The Irish National Roads Authority invited RPS Consulting Engineers to assist them in planning, obtaining statutory permissions, procurement and development contract administration of the 10 kilometre Limerick Ring Road & Shannon River Tunnel Project and the 85 kilometre Galway to Ballinasloe Motorway Project.
Durango Browne provided RPS with planning phase advisory services related to toll systems, sitting of toll plazas and traffic revenue. The Galway to Ballinasloe project opened to traffic in 2009 and the Limeric Tunnel is nearing the conclusion of construction.
