Contractor defaults jeopardise the success of infrastructure projects. This occurred during an EU-funded project to improve the waste management system of the Romanian city of Ramnicu Valcea.
Durango Browne assisted the Romanian Ministry of Finance and IDOM Ingenieria by providing contract and claims support related to the termination of the construction contract due to contractor default, in procuring emergency stabilisation services, and in procuring a replacement contractor. Construction has recommenced.
